We believe our purpose is to:
- Prepare people to be Christ's ambassadors in the earth
- Prepare a place to seek His Presence
- Restore our ruined city and the broken lives we find there
Beginning, Belonging, Building...
Scripture outlines essential characteristics for spiritual development and purposeful living. At Well of Life, we summarize these characteristics in the following three ways.
A place to begin...
Ephesians 2:19-22 states that Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone in the temple God is building. The foundation of faith begins with belief in the saving work of Christ Jesus. The word of God tells us that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. However, God loved us so much that He gave His only son Jesus so that whoever chooses to believe in Him will not die, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Therefore, we begin by recognizing our need for choosing to believe in Jesus as Savior. This is the foudnation of life as a believer.
A place to belong...
We all are created with a need to belong and be a part of something greater than ourselves. Therefore, God places us in families. In the same way, God intends for us to be a part of a spiritual family or congregation. Through this family of believers our need for belonging is met and our souls are encouraged. Finding a place to belong is an essential aspect of purposeful living. We invite you to be a part of our spiritual family at Well of Life Church.
A place to build...
Through scripture God also conveys His desire for us to build and grow. Ephesians 2:19-22 illustrates that we are working toether to build the holy temple of the Lord, a place where God's spirit will dwell. Furthermore, it says that growth and building up of the church body occurs when each member performs his or her unique function and joins with other members to work together.
We are committed to equipping and encouraging the whole person (spirit, soul and body) to build strong relationships, strong families, and a strong and vibrant community. We need each other to fully perform the work God has purposed for this region.
OutReach
Well of Life's definition of outreach involves two important elements; the individual aspect and the corporate aspect. Scripture says we are to be the salt and light of the world, therefore our goal is to share the hope of Jesus Christ through both the individual and corporate endeavors. Individually, we encourage each believer to function in a role which changes and influences his or her surroundings daily. Corporately, we encourage support of the following outreaches.
